The palace and farm complex in Siemczyn is a charming place located between Czaplinek and Zlocieniec, in the center of the West Pomeranian Voivodeship, in the Drawsko Lake District. The village of Siemczyno itself (formerly Heinrichsdorf and Henrykowo), located on the Henryko Bay of Lake Drawsko, was founded in 1292. The manor buildings house a hotel and restaurant, while the baroque palace, built between 1722 and 1726, houses two museums (the Interactive Baroque Museum and the Miscellaneous Crafts University). While you're there, it's worth taking a walk around the village along the "Henryka Trail in Siemczyn". The route of the trail passes through a historic park with a hornbeam avenue and the village of Siemczyno and its surroundings. Individual stops of the route are marked with boards. Information on the individual boards describes the buildings and places with an indication of their historical functions. There is also a Ceramic Forge on the grounds of the manor, where clay-plastering workshops are conducted.
Hotel guests are offered 29 air-conditioned rooms in the main building and 5 rooms with kitchenette and separate entrance. The restaurant offers traditional Polish cuisine.
Siemczyno Palace is an excellent base for bicycle trips, during which you can explore the beauty of Drawskie Lake District. Hills, forests, lakes, rivers, meadows and the surrounding fauna, encourage active bicycle recreation, and the ever-improving infrastructure of bicycle paths will take you to completely new places.
