On February 26, 2025, the sixth "Cultural Education at Schools in M-V" symposium of the Service Agency All-Day Learning M-V will take place at the State Center for Renewable Energies (Leea) in Neustrelitz.
Under the motto "The Art of Sustainability", we will experience in various workshops that creative-artistic methods and education for sustainable development absolutely belong together. Experts will show you how the topic of sustainability can be experienced artistically with children and young people, turning lessons into an exciting journey of discovery.
The workshops:
WS 1: "Moorwiesenkunst", Juliane Tübke and Alison Darby (Succow Foundation):
An experimental workshop that brings the subject of drained moorland landscapes into the classroom: An art production and painting workshop using paper made from bog reeds and ink made from black alder will take place at the specialist day.
WS 2 "Sustainability in space", Dina Falbe (architect, Wismar University of Applied Sciences):
Well-being is a basic prerequisite for learning to succeed. This applies to the building, the interior design and the required "aids" (books, exercise books, materials, etc.). In this workshop, we want to use a participatory process to explore how we can create spaces that are good for us, are sustainable and inspire us to engage creatively in the classroom. You don't always need a new building for this; even small changes can make a big difference. This is sustainable and conserves resources.
WS 3 "Experiencing Sustainable Development Goals through art", Annette Knauf (Ökohaus Rostock):
In this workshop, we take a close look at the 17 Sustainable Development Goals ("SDGs") drafted by the UN. We will show you how you can present the content of the goals to your students and how you can bring them closer in an artistic way. What seems abstract and hardly tangible in everyday life becomes tangible. Art is the means of choice for reflecting and expressing thoughts and feelings. The result can be many things: street art, an exhibition or a poetry slam.
WS 4 "Keep cool - Save the climate", Dr. AnnetteTeltewskoi (Leea Neustrelitz):
In this workshop, we deal with the topics of climate change and climate protection. In small groups, we explore the causes and consequences of our actions in a playful way and with various materials.
You will not get lost on the route with us! In our application you will find a detailed map of routes and excursions, interesting places and events, 360 panoramas and much, much more!
