Tradition of Sorbian wax eggs

In this course you will learn about the artistic traditions of the Sorbian minority in Lusatia. You will learn more about a traditional craft technique that can also be used at home. You will work with blown-out chicken and duck eggs. The eggs, which should be as white as possible, can be purchased from the course instructor or brought from home. Please wash the stamp carefully with scouring milk beforehand. You will work with beeswax and dye the eggs with Easter egg dye. Idea sketches or patterns are welcome.
