ArtStyki

In October 2024, in the exhibition room of the Goleniow library, we saw the works of the Czestochowa artist Mateusz Pawełczyk. The year 2025 will belong to women. This is because we are awaiting the artistic residencies of three participants of the First Summer Encounters with Art, an open-air workshop held last summer in Mosty. Each of the female artists will present their work at an exhibition during their stay in Goleniow. Their several-day residency will also be an opportunity to participate in author meetings, vernissages and workshops.
The first of these is Agnieszka Chrzanowska- Malys. Gliwice-based visual artist, cultural animator and educator. Her work focuses on painting and fiber art: artistic fabric and handmade paper. She experimentally combines the two fields to create unique creations. She pays attention to the ecological aspects of creation, which is why she uses recycled materials both in her works and in her workshops.

The author about the exhibition:

The source of my inspirations is nature. However, these are not realistic representations, but my personal, internal "notes". Released from within under the influence of an impulse, they take the shape of an artistic statement built around the landscape.
The objects can be divided into three cycles. Those created from an organic-plant mixture, those made from handmade paper and those made from potato peelings. Each of the matter is extremely fragile, each changing over time, like our lives.
