Dr. Timo Janca - meeting with German writer

You are cordially invited to a meeting with writer Dr. Timo Janca. The author will talk about his work, as well as the possibilities of further education scholarships in Germany for lecturers, teachers and students of German studies. The meeting will be moderated by Professor Ewelina Kaminska-Ossowska of the Institute of Literature and New Media at the University of Szczecin.
Dr. Timo Janca, born in 1982, is a writer, lecturer and traveler. After studying German and Slavonic Studies in Kiel, he taught as a DAAD lecturer in Russia, Poland and Ukraine. He currently works at the Deutsche Auslandsgesellschaft (DAG), based in Lübeck. In addition to teaching, he organizes projects and events related to literature and theater, as well as study tours.
His publications include cultural studies on the relationship between literature and history, as well as methods for the critical analysis of press texts. His publications include: "Zwischen Verklärung und Aufklärung: Identitätssuche in der georgischen Literatur 1801-1989" (2012), "Resultats- und prozessorientierter Diskurs in der osteuropäischen Gegenwartsliteratur"(2015). In 2024 he published the novel "Von Flüchen und Ausfluchten", which is the first part of a trilogy describing the story of an emigrant family settled in the US in the 19th century.This year he published a diary, which is a record of three trips he took to Georgia "Aufzeichnungen aus dem Kaukasus - Reisen und Recherchen" (2025).
