The fountain, designed by Mieczysław Gliba, was built in Bolesław Chrobry Square in the mid-1980s.

The Sedina Fountain is on Chrobry Square in the Old Town of Police, approx. 16 km north of the center of Szczecin. It is near the public transport stop "Police Rynek", where buses no. 101, 102, 103, 106, 109, 110, 111 and the Local Government, Beach and Działkowa Lines stop. The fountain is in the vicinity of the historic Gothic chapel, a remnant of St. Mary's Church from the turn of the 13th / 14th century. Provincial road No. 114 runs in the area and the yellow pedestrian "Police Route" and the red bicycle "Wkrzańska Forest" trail lead here.

The Sedina Fountain is one of the most characteristic landmarks in the historic Old Town Square - Bolesław Chrobry Square. The fountain designed by Mieczysław Glib was built in the mid-1980s, and the artist was inspired by the now-defunct figure of Sedina from the Manzl Fountain in Szczecin. Initially, the fountain was supposed to represent the goddess Amphitrite, the wife of Poseidon, the god of the seas, sailors, and fishermen. With time, however, it took the name of Sedina, a Germanic goddess associated with Szczecin, who was probably worshiped by the Sedins, Slavic inhabitants of the mouth of the Oder River. After the Old Town Square was revitalized, the "openwork" figure of Sedina carrying a sail on her shoulder and leaning on an anchor was transferred from the stone to the concrete base. Near the Sedina Fountain, another water structure has been placed - a modern fountain, a source of refreshment for children and adults on hot days.
