Walecki Cultural Center invites you to the concert IMPRESSION SAXOPHONE ENSEMBLE 17.05.2025 at 17:00, WCK auditorium Tickets: PLN 35 available at the Tęcza Cinema and WCK box office and online: IMPRESSION SAXOPHONE ENSEMBLE is an orchestra of talented musicians who are passionate about developing their skills and promoting saxophone music both in Poland and abroad. The juxtaposition of saxophones from sopranino, soprano, alto, tenor, baritone and bass, gives a unique palette of colors. The ensemble's program includes both arrangements of popular works by classical music composers (J.S. Bach, G.F. Handel, E. Grieg, I. Albeniz, J.Brahms), as well as premieres of works by contemporary Polish and foreign composers (Volodymyr Runchak, Marilyn Shrude, Edoardo Dinelli, Andreas van Zoelen, Piotr Grella-Mozejko, Alicja Gronau, Dariusz Samól ). The ensemble has performed at many important artistic events, the most important of which are the World Saxophone Congress Gran Canaria (Spain 2023), the International Saxophone Festival in Szczecin (2011-2024), the National Saxophone Congresses (Szczecin, Warsaw, Poznań), the Autumn Saxludium, the European Saxophone Forum in Wrocław, and many others. The orchestra has also performed at the M. Karlowicz Philharmonic in Szczecin, Zielona Gora Philharmonic, Gorzow Philharmonic, among others. The ensemble is led by its founder, Dariusz Samól. Saxademus Quartet - a saxophone quartet formed by students of the Academy of Art in Szczecin. The members of the quartet are young musicians who already have outstanding artistic achievements to their credit, confirmed by their successes at numerous competitions and international festivals at home and abroad. They have given concerts both in Poland and in Spain, Germany and Italy, among others. Impression Saxophone Ensemble, under the direction of Dariusz Samol, will perform as follows: Wiktoria Kawik, Patrycjusz Pura, Wiesław Orłowski, Iza Król-Styś, Julia Ogrodnik, Joanna Dolęga, Li Ruinchen, Agnieszka Marmol, Marcin Strzelczuk, Jianyu Feng DARIUSZ SAMÓL Saxophonist, graduate of the Lemmens Institute in Leuven, Belgium, in the class of Professor Ed Bogaard. He completed postgraduate studies at the Academy of Music in Wroclaw under the direction of Prof. Mieczyslaw Stachura. There he defended his Doctor of Arts degree and conducted his postdoctoral thesis. In 2019, he was awarded the title of Professor of Musical Arts
