On one of Krzeków’s main streets, nestled among modern buildings, stands a historic half-timbered cottage. It is one of the oldest buildings in the neighborhood. It is believed that during its heyday before 1945, the property belonged to one of the wealthiest farmers in the village of Kreckow.
In 1988, the current owners took an interest in the cottage and saved it from demolition by having it listed on the register of historic monuments in 1990. The building was renovated, but every effort was made to preserve as much of the original structure as possible. The clay chimney and the original interior layout have survived, and the walls were restored as faithfully as possible. Thanks to this, visitors to Krzeków can admire a beautiful example of historic architecture.
