We invite you to a lecture by lek. Jacek Chlasta, entitled. "Between Hospital and Clinic - Ethics and Everyday Dilemmas of a Physician" - May 13 (Tuesday) at 10:00 - 12:00 to the Conference Room of the Maritime Science Center (1st floor). During the course we will discuss the following issues: 1. Differences in the work of a physician in a hospital and a clinic - Specifics of work in both places - intensity, scope of duties, contact with the patient - Time constraints and their impact on medical decisions - Doctor-patient relationship in different work environments 2. Ethical dilemmas in daily practice - Conflict between patient welfare and system constraints (time, resources, procedures) - Dilemmas related to access to treatment and prioritization of patients - Boundary between emotional commitment and professionalism 3.
