31st Papal Run in Karlin

For more than three decades, Karlin has been hosting one of the most important sporting events in the region - the St. John Paul II Pope's Run. It is not only a competition on the route, but also an opportunity to integrate, celebrate together and cherish the values that guided the Patron of this run. Each year it is attended by a growing number of athletes and amateurs who share a common passion, which is running. This year's - the 31st St. John Paul II Papal Run - will take place on June 8, 2025, and will be held over a distance of 15 km. It starts at the Statue of Our Lady Queen of the World in Domacyn, which is a gift of the Filipino people to Pope Pole. The finish line is located at the municipal stadium in Karlino, where many supporters and Karlino residents cheering throughout the route await the runners. This is also where the winners are awarded and medals are handed out. A medal with the image of St. John Paul II is given to each runner who crosses the finish line. The warm cheering of the fans and the unique atmosphere is a hallmark of the Pope's Run, which has been enjoyed by participants for years. Competitors compete in the Open category and in individual age groups, among both men and women, as well as in the category of people with disabilities. A separate classification is made up of representatives of the uniformed services. In addition to the main race, which includes adults, there are also inclusive runs for children, teenagers and preschoolers, as well as special competitions for priests and local government officials. The event is a weekend event, and in addition to the main run, it is accompanied by numerous attractions, such as canoeing and a beach volleyball tournament. These days Karlino becomes a place for all lovers of active recreation, showing that health and fitness do not depend on age, status or education, but on passion and commitment.
