Music and sailing - two passions that Jan Waraczewski, violinist and long-time concertmaster of the Szczecin Philharmonic Symphony Orchestra, has combined to create an event that has delighted music lovers for years. The 23rd edition of the "Music on Water by Jan Waraczewski" concert will once again gather audiences at the marina of the Academic Sports Association Yacht Club in Szczecin, at 9 Przestrzenna Street in Szczecin, offering an unforgettable evening with masterpieces of classical music. Both orchestral works and moving opera arias will be performed in an unusual setting on the shore of a lake. The Symphony Orchestra of the Szczecin Philharmonic, under the baton of Przemysław Neumann, will perform, and the soloist of the evening will be the esteemed Polish tenor - Rafał Bartminski. This year's program is a real feast for music lovers. The evening will begin with Modest Mussorgsky's Night on Bald Mountain, a work full of mystery that has been stirring the imagination of listeners for years. Then we will hear moving opera arias, in Rafal Bartminski's masterful interpretation, from Puccini's Tosca, Massenet's Werthera and Moniuszko's The Haunted Manor, among others. There will also be plenty of blockbuster orchestral works - we will hear excerpts from Holst's Planet suite, as well as the audience's beloved Wedding March by Mendelssohn-Bartholdy and the finale of Tchaikovsky's The Nutcracker. Jan Waraczewski's Music on the Water concert is one of the most anticipated musical events in Szczecin. Each year it gathers more than a thousand listeners who come to experience the unique combination of sounds and nature. The originator of the concert was Jan Waraczewski, a music promoter, violinist and long-time concertmaster of the Szczecin Philharmonic Symphony Orchestra, who combined his love of music and sailing to create an extraordinary musical tradition. Although the artist is no longer with us, his work lives on, attracting successive generations of music lovers. Concerts at the Dabie marina are events that remain in the memory for a long time. The music floating above the surface of the water, the open space and the extraordinary proximity to nature make every sound take on a new dimension that concert halls do not offer. It is this unique atmosphere that makes Jan Waraczewski's "Music on Water" attract crowds every year and invariably arouse admiration. Anyone who has attended this event at least once knows that it is a concert unlike any other - full of magic and unique atmosphere.
