12th Folk Film Festival

Folk Film Festival is an interdisciplinary event that has been held in Sianow (West Pomeranian Voivodeship) since 2014, combining cinema, music, visual arts and theater. As part of the festival, we plan to meet with the creators of Polish cinematography - both actors and directors, who give a behind-the-scenes look at the making of films and share their experiences. The festival cinema offers films in an intimate atmosphere, far from commercial blockbusters. The characteristic friendly atmosphere of the FFF, closer to the idea of slow life than a life'style event with red carpet and celebrity walls, promotes direct contact between artists and audiences. The atmosphere of the festival is made up of little things: the intimacy of the cinema, the freedom that accompanies the meetings and the small festival space. The FFF is also: photography and fine arts in exhibitions and competitions, handicrafts during workshops for children, young people and adults, music presented at chamber and open-air concerts, stage and street theater, i.e. in the open air, literature understood as meetings with writers and promotion of reading, culinary culture in regional edition, and above all guests: actors, directors, photographers, musicians, writers, visual artists. One of the highlights of each edition is the KOKOFY International Short Film Competition. This is a unique project, implemented according to a simple principle: 1 film, 1 minute, 1 idea. This year's accompanying slogan is "Hero of our time," which was given last year by director Maciej Pieprzyca. Everyone is welcome, from amateurs to film enthusiasts to professional filmmakers, and this year's Jury will be chaired by director and screenwriter Dorota Kędzierzawska.
