Jan Svo "A triptych about dolls, bears and gods" - book presentation

We invite you to the presentation of Jan Svo's tome titled. "Triptych about dolls, bears and gods". The meeting with the author will be hosted by Dr. Wojciech Lopuch. The triptych is 60 cards, on which three interrelated art projects are juxtaposed: "Plastic dolls stand in windows," "We are little teddy bears," and "Self-styled gods." The photograms are accompanied by short texts on the borderline between prose and poetry. The common denominator of the individual works is the nameless man in the surrounding reality.The individual pages of the book are a kind of photographic emblems that combine image and text into a coherent, symbolic whole. The photographs of the triptych depict scenes with hidden meanings, interpreted by philosophical reflections, sometimes elements of dialogue or a single word, which give the images a deeper context. The triptych is a publication about the plastic world that appropriates the real world. It is not about dolls, it is not about teddy bears and it is not about gods. It is not cheerful. It is about people and human nature. It is about each of us individually and all of us together....
