We invite you on a paleontological-geological journey in time - much farther than to the memories of your youth, because to the epochs in which Western Pomerania and the Lubuskie Land looked completely different - as part of the next meeting of the Senior Academy series. The program includes: - a story about the Jurassic crocodile from Czarnoglów, - the story of life (and death) of the rhinoceros Stefania, - interesting facts about the names of the various geological periods. There will also be unique exhibits - geological witnesses of ancient history: fossils, or mysterious Szczecin spheres. We encourage you to participate - this is an excellent opportunity to touch history written in rocks and look at Western Pomerania from a completely different perspective. The meeting will be hosted by Dr. Robert Wozinski, Head of the Geological Museum of the University of Szczecin. We invite you on May 20 at 15:00 to the Conference Room of the Maritime Science Center (first floor). Admission is free *Dr. Robert Wozinski - born in 1974 in Nowy Targ. From 1995 to 2000 he studied marine geography at the University of Szczecin. In 2018, he received his PhD in Earth Sciences. For many years he worked at the Department of Geology and Paleogeography at the University of Szczecin. Since 2015 he has been employed at the Geological Museum of the University of Szczecin, where he serves as a manager, but primarily as an educator, a didactician. At the museum, mainly with children and young people, he conducts numerous original workshops, lessons and other activities. His passion is field trips in search of minerals and fossils. Sometimes he takes on the role of a guide to the abiotic nature of Western Pomerania.
