Film screening: "Jazz is happening in the Danish state" | OSTOJA JAZZ.

We would like to invite you to a unique film evening that will introduce you to the Danish jazz scene and Polish-Danish musical relations.The documentary film "Jazz happens in the Danish state" (2017) is a 19-minute report on Polish musical emigration to Denmark between 2004 and 21016.It presents the stories of Polish musicians who settled in Denmark, showing their influence on the local jazz scene and mutual cross-cultural inspirations.The screening will take place in the intimate space of the Ostoja Palace, conducive to integration and discussion. ???? Attendance is encouraged to better understand the cultural context and the "Ostoja Jazz" project. Free admission --- "Ostoja Jazz" is a unique educational and animation project that will take place between June 16 and 21. At its center will be music, intergenerational integration and the Danish philosophy of Hygge, based on a warm, welcoming atmosphere and sense of community. The project will include music workshops for students of the Academy of Art in Szczecin, who - together with experienced Danish jazz artists - will form creative ensembles. The effects of their work will be heard at the Ostoya Palace during open events for the local community. The project was co-financed by the Ministry of Culture and National Heritage as part of the Cultural Program of the Polish Presidency of the Council of the European Union 2025 under the SYNERGIE grant program.
