History of Jazz - concert and jam session | OSTOJA JAZZ

On the International Festival of Music - Fête de la Musique - we invite you to the final concert of the "Ostoja Jazzu" project. The concert will be a musical journey through the history of jazz, performed by students of the Academy of Art in Szczecin and their Polish and Danish mentors. We will hear classical jazz compositions and original arrangements created during the intensive workshops conducted as part of the "Ostoja Jazzu" project. The concert will be a summary of the cross-cultural cooperation and week-long workshops. At the end, we also invite you to an open jam session - spontaneous musical improvisation, in which anyone can participate! It will be an evening full of sounds, emotions and good energy - a real celebration of jazz at the Ostoja Palace. ???? Come, listen, get carried away - and become a part of this musical story! Admission is free. -------- "Ostoja Jazz" is a unique educational and animation project that will take place between June 16 and 21. At its center will be music, intergenerational integration and the Danish philosophy of Hygge, based on a warm, welcoming atmosphere and sense of community. The project will include music workshops for students of the Academy of Art in Szczecin, who - together with experienced Danish jazz artists - will form creative ensembles. The effects of their work will be heard at the Ostoya Palace during open events for the local community. The project was co-financed by the Ministry of Culture and National Heritage as part of the Cultural Program of the Polish Presidency of the Council of the European Union 2025 under the SYNERGIE grant program.
