Forum Around Cinema ????56th edition, June 9-12, 2025, Kolobrzeg ????Regional Cultural Center, Kolobrzeg 56th Forum WOKÓŁ KINA - a unique meeting place for people who share a common passion and mission: cinema. This year's edition has a special character - for the first time the Forum takes place in the West Pomeranian region, in the hospitable and open to culture Kolobrzeg. This is an important signal that the dialogue about the future of cinema in Poland goes beyond the largest centers, also reaching places where cinema plays a key role in building local communities. The year 2025 brings us many challenges - both of a legislative, economic and social nature. The cinema industry today, though full of determination and creativity, faces the pressure of rising costs, changing audience habits, and dynamic regulations that do not always keep up with reality. The ongoing work on the amendment of the Law on Cinematography, changes to the media tax and the still unregulated issue of support for independent cinemas are just some of the topics that arouse legitimate emotions. For years, the WOKO KINO Forum has been a space not only for the exchange of experience and knowledge, but also for the formulation of a common voice of the environment. Today this voice is needed more than ever - to protect and develop places that are local centers of culture, education and community. Cinemas in Poland are more than screens and seats - they are people, stories and values.
