Połczyńska NIGHT OF KUPAŁA

This Saturday, June 21, starting at 2:00 p.m., the Połczyńska Rural Women's Association invites you to Połczyńska NOC KUPAŁY (Połczyńska Kupala Night) – a project organized as part of the public initiative "Społecznik na 5!" (Community Activist 5!). It promises to be a great event, with workshops, wreaths, dancing, live music, socializing, and a bonfire. An unforgettable attraction of the event will be singing workshops for everyone, led by the Academy of Traditional Voices - a group of women singing rural songs a cappella in dialects characteristic of various regions of Poland. They will invite us to celebrate together the festival of fire and water, sun and moon, harvest and fertility, joy, dance, and love. On Kupala Night, a holiday associated with the summer solstice, together with the Academy of Traditional Voices, we will sing Midsummer songs from various regions of Poland, about witches, herbs, and love. We will also have the opportunity to listen to an extraordinary concert in the bosom of nature, and our artists will provide all concert participants with purification, protection against all evil, plague and misfortune, as well as health, fertility and abundance. You will be able to satisfy your hunger and thirst and simply relax among flowers, herbs, and beautiful birch trees, which occupy a special place in culture, folk beliefs, and medicine.
