Nastrojone Pyrzyce – concert entitled "Masters of Europe"

On August 15, the Pyrzyce organ will be played by Karol Gołębiowski, an outstanding organist, one of Poland's most important virtuosos on this instrument, winner of prestigious European competitions, and professor at the Jan Kochanowski University in Kielce. The program of the concert "Masters of Europe" will take listeners on a true musical journey across the Old Continent and through the centuries. From the Renaissance Tabulatura by Jan of Lublin and the royal suite by Roman, written for the wedding of a Swedish monarch, through the Baroque masterpieces of Johann Sebastian Bach, to the romantic raptures of Karg-Elert and the Gothic toccata by Boëllman. Professor Karol Gołębiowski is one of Poland's most outstanding organists, an artist of international renown and extraordinary musical sensitivity. He completed his organ studies in Warsaw, Geneva, and Brussels, studying with the greatest masters—Joachim Grubich, Lionel Rogg, and Herman Verschraegen. As a laureate of prestigious organ competitions in Munich, Bruges, Rome, and Nuremberg, he has performed throughout Europe, as well as in Israel and Lebanon. His interpretations are characterized by technical precision, emotional depth, and respect for the spirit of the era. Professor at the Jan Kochanowski University in Kielce, author of numerous recordings, including the complete organ works of Bach, Brahms, and Mozart. In short, Karol Gołębiowski is an artist whose performance is an event in itself. The organ on which the master will play has been embellishing the liturgy in the church in Pyrzyce since mid-2023. The 35-voice instrument was built in 1962-1963 for the Nazareth Church in Berlin and was purchased for the Church of the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary in Pyrzyce in 2021. It is one of the largest instruments in Western Pomerania. It would be difficult to imagine a more beautiful and solemn start to the "Nastrojone Pyrzyce" festival, organized by the Roman Catholic Parish of St. Otto in Pyrzyce and the "Kierunek Pyrzyce" association. Although this year there will be two concerts (the second is planned for September), the event is set to continue in future years. This year's edition will be held thanks to the support of the "Społecznik na 5" program initiated by the Marshal of the West Pomeranian Province and the Provincial Office for the Protection of Monuments, as it will also be an opportunity to discover one of the most important and intriguing monuments - the Church of the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary.
