Poetry recital by Piotr Pilarski, "Animus – My Heart."

On Sunday, October 12, 2025, at 4:00 p.m., the Library and Cultural Center invites you to a poetry recital by Piotr Pilarski entitled "Animus – My Heart." Piotr Pilarski is a poet and actor. He was born in Stawiszyn, in the Kalisz County, and currently lives in Ostrów Wielkopolski. The program entitled "Animus – My Heart" presents the poetry cycle "Animus," published in the poetry collection "Szuflada" (Drawer). The cycle consists of 24 poems that express an extraordinary story about an individual – spiritual, deeply reflective, sensitive to beauty, goodness, and justice, struggling with the evil and ruthlessness of the outside world. The main theme of the cycle is the uncertainty about the meaning of one's own actions and reflection on the complexities of human emotions. The poetry is accompanied by the timeless music of Fryderyk Chopin. Etudes, scherzos, and waltzes provide a beautiful setting for the art. After the meeting, there will be an opportunity to purchase books from the author.
