Amethyst + The Deep + Mountain Throne

Amethyst was born in Switzerland in the year of the plague, 2020, out of a fervent desire and passion to play heavy rock as raw and pure as the older generation did in the glorious late 70s and early 80s. Inspired by the flame of this old music, Miguel and Yves set out to find like-minded people ready to take on the task. In the months that followed, they were found, and by the spring of 2022, the lineup we know today consisted of Freddy on vocals, Yves and Ramon on guitars, Miguel on bass, and Eldo on drums. In the same year, in the spring of 2023, the Rock Knights EP was finally released, surprising the scene and quickly becoming a favorite of a wide range of newcomers and many headbangers around the world. Amethyst reached for the stars and its growth is not slowing down, quite the contrary! This was followed by numerous concerts, where the band played their passionate songs to wild audiences. Those who witnessed their second performance at the prestigious Muskelrock festival in Sweden certainly have a story to tell their grandchildren! This was followed by a dozen or so more concerts at renowned festivals such as Keep It True Rising, Chaos Descends, and Steel City Sorcery. After recording eight more anthems of unbridled passion, the band retreated to their dungeon to record their debut album Throw Down the Gauntlet in early 2024, which was released in September of the same year by the powerful Greek label No Remorse Records. The band has tasted blood and wants more, and there is no indication that it intends to slow down... Let's see what the future brings! There is no need to introduce The Deep to you, as three of its five members made a name for themselves in Goleniów as musicians of Tytan. The Deep is NWOBHM at its best.
