The Darłowo-Wicie Seaside Loop

The picturesque cycle route connecting Darłowo and Wicie is ideal for those who want to combine seaside views, wild nature and the peaceful, idyllic atmosphere of country roads. The route can be started in Darłówko or any other place along the loop. From there, head towards Wicie along one of the most beautiful sections of the Velo Baltica route (EV10/13), which runs along a narrow spit between the Baltic Sea and Lake Kopań. This is a unique section, offering panoramic views of the sea and the sparkling surface of the lake for a long time. There is a separate cycle path along the coast, mostly made of concrete slabs and asphalt, but still very atmospheric and safe.

Upon reaching Wicie, the loop turns inland and leads along quiet local roads through Barzowice and Cisowo – an area known for its impressive wind farms, which create the characteristic landscape of the area. Before returning to Darłowo, the route turns into a cycle path running along the DW203 for several hundred metres, ensuring comfort all the way to the town.

On the final section, it is worth planning a short stop or an additional detour to the Town Square and the Pomeranian Dukes' Castle in Darłowo, one of the best-preserved medieval castles in Pomerania. It is the perfect end to a trip combining nature, history and a seaside atmosphere.
