Gates – lift up your heads,
open wide the ancient doors
– let the King of Glory enter
Traditionally, in December, we invite you to a meeting with Advent Music in old Szczecin, part of a series of historical concerts organized by the Early Music Academy Foundation. This will be the last opportunity this year to hear the Szczecin Vocal Project and the Famd.pl Orchestra conducted by Paweł Osuchowski. The concert program will include masterpieces of Baroque music from the North German Lutheran tradition, by composers who combined the style of the northern school with Italian traditions of sacred art. A unique opportunity will be the performance of one of the few surviving works by Arnold Melchior Brunckhorst – Die Weihnachtsgeschichte – The Story of the Nativity. The concert will take place in the Chapel of the Baptist Church in Szczecin (ul. Stoisława 4) on Saturday, December 13, 2025, at 6:00 p.m. The concert will be preceded by a lecture by Paweł Osuchowski at 5:30 p.m., introducing the composers and musical traditions of ancient Pomerania.
