Factory railway viaduct

Emerald Lake is a former chalk quarry, exploited by a factory founded in 1862 by Toepffer and Grawitz. This is where their cement company "Stern" sourced its raw material. The rocks were extracted by hand, then loaded onto railway wagons and transported via a track system. Currently, you can walk through both the railway tunnel and the viaduct.
