The von Wedels built the fortified manor house in place of the already existing palace in the fourteenth century. Its small fragments and Gothic cellars were incorporated in the currently visible body. After the fire, the von Güntersbergs erected a Renaissance manor. As a result of changing fashions, the subsequent reconstruction works transformed it into a baroque palace. A two-story annex was built then. Neglected after the last war, the former glory of the manor has been recently restored. The park surrounding the palace was also renovated then. You can find there numerous preserved old trees and a stylish fountain. Currently, the palace houses a Municipal Library and the Town Council meeting room.
