Noise: ETHNOBOTANY

SZUMY: ETNOBOTANIKA February 21 (Saturday), 8:00 p.m. Piwnica przy Krypcie Theater Tickets: PLN 40 (PLN 30 reduced) ETNOBOTANIKA is a mysterious duo from Upper Silesia, with one foot firmly planted in electronic music and the other exploring the realms of samples and hip-hop to create their own unique style. Their eyes and ears are turned toward fragments of the past—excerpts from old Polish films, half-forgotten TV series, and snippets of more or less well-known Polish songs recorded years ago. Here we hear a completely different, even separate approach to the technique of sampling and combining beatmaking practices with the instruments and sounds of contemporary electronic music. Their live performances include songs from all their released albums, often in new, slightly modified and more dynamic versions.
