43rd International Festival "Pyrzyckie Spotkania z Folklorem" (Pyrzyce Folklore Encounters)

The 43rd The 10th edition of the "Pyrzyckie Spotkania z Folklorem" (Pyrzyce Folklore Meetings), scheduled for July 3-5, 2026, is the most important artistic event of the Pyrzyce community, sustaining regional identity and promoting tradition, culture, and folklore in the fields of dance, music, singing, handicrafts, and crafts. The event perfectly meets the needs of the audience and, year after year, attracts an increasing number of people who want to spend their free time in this different way. The main goal of the "Pyrzyckie Spotkania z Folklorem" festival is to promote the region's folk traditions and culture, present the folk culture of other nations, and revive, popularize, and further activate groups that cultivate folk traditions in the fields of dance, singing, music, handicrafts and crafts – in the spirit of mutual understanding and respect for one's own identity, with particular emphasis on the changes taking place in contemporary folk art and the preservation of traditional folk heritage. The festival is a key and substantive member of the Agreement of Folklore Festivals of Western Poland (Gorzów Wielkopolski, Poznań, Legnica, Zielona Góra, Goleniów, Kozielice) and belongs to the international festival organization FIDAF (Federation of International Dance Festivals) based in Seoul. In 2021, we were awarded a Certificate of Recognition for the exemplary organization of the Pyrzyce Folklore Meetings and for our contribution to cultural and artistic cooperation. The certificate was awarded by Catalin Gabriel Oancea, then President of FIDAF for Europe.
