Art Competition "Kołobrzeg - In the Footsteps of Heroes - March 1945

The Kołobrzeg Military Branch of the Polish Tourist and Sightseeing Society (PTTK) invites children and young people to take part in an art competition: "Kołobrzeg in the footsteps of heroes – March 1945" The competition is organized as part of the 60th Jubilee National PTTK Rally along the Trail of the First Polish Army's Battle for Kołobrzeg, on the occasion of the 81st anniversary of the battle for Kołobrzeg and Poland's wedding to the sea in March 1945. Its aim is to commemorate the events of those days and to develop the younger generation's interest in the history of the city through artistic creation. The honorary patronage of the competition was taken by: Deputy Marshal of the West Pomeranian Province – Anna Bańkowska, Mayor of Kołobrzeg – Anna Mieczkowska, Kołobrzeg County Administrator – Mirosław Tessikowski. Who can participate? The competition is open to children and young people: • grades I–IV • grades V–VIII Rules for completing the work: • format of the work: A3, • any technique (drawing, painting, collage, mixed media), • the work must be done independently, • the theme should refer to the events of March 1945, places of remembrance, symbols, or heroes associated with the battles for the city. Deadline for submitting entries: Entries must be submitted by March 10, 2026. The competition results will be announced and the awards presented on March 18 at 4 p.m. at the Military Club, 46 Łopuskiego Street.
