I cordially invite you to Mierzyn near Szczecin for another meeting in the HISTORIA W DOBREJ series! For over three years, every month, the best specialists have been coming to us and presenting selected topics from the history of Pomerania.
On March 18 at 6:00 p.m., BARTOSZ SITARZ will give a lecture entitled "THE POLIC ENCLOSURE 1945-1946: origins, characteristics, consequences."
About the speaker:
BARTOSZ SITARZ – graduate of the University of Szczecin with a master's degree in history, employee of the State Archives in Szczecin, in the Resource Popularization Department. Author of the book "Difficult Beginnings. Szczecin County 1945-1950" (2012) and numerous articles on topics related to local history (including in the "Rocznik Historyczny Polic" [Police Historical Yearbook], "Szczeciński Informator Archiwalny" [Szczecin Archival Guide], and "Szczecińskie Studia Archiwalno-Historyczne" [Szczecin Archival and Historical Studies]); he has given numerous lectures and talks, and has co-led historical tours (in Police and Mścięcin). Research interests: contemporary history of Police and Szczecin, forced labor during World War II, synthetic gasoline factory in Police, beginnings of Polish administration in Western Pomerania, Greek-Macedonian community in Police.
