Edyta Geppert is known for the great care she takes in building her repertoire. Her meticulously curated recitals offer a rare opportunity to hear true gems of Polish literary song. Among the lyricists we find: Magda Czapińska, Agnieszka Osiecka, Jacek Cygan, Marek Dagnan, Jerzy Ficowski, Jonasz Kofta, Wojciech Młynarski, Andrzej Poniedzielski, Jan Kazimierz Siwek, and among the composers: Henryk Alber, Włodzimierz Korcz, Seweryn Krajewski, and Andrzej Rybiński. Edyta Geppert’s recital showcases interpretive artistry and an extraordinary ability to create sharply contrasting moods: lyrical songs are juxtaposed with dramatic ones, and dramatic ones with humorous, even cabaret-style songs—the latter featuring lyrics by the genre’s classic, Marian Hemar.
