In recent years, Jewish Culture Days in Wałcz have been an important part of the local cultural calendar. Their purpose was to remind people of the history and heritage of the Jewish community, which for many years helped shape the life of the town. Meetings, workshops, concerts, and discussions about the history of the place helped introduce residents to Wałcz’s multicultural roots and create a space for reflection and conversation. This year, the event is expanding on its existing concept and changing its format, opening up more broadly to the theme of multiculturalism. The new edition is titled “Interweaving Cultures – Wałcz Multicultural Days.” The program of events, created by the Wałcz Cultural Center in collaboration with the Museum of the Wałcz Region and the International Cooperation Club, focuses on various cultural themes present in the city’s history, as well as on a contemporary perspective on diversity, memory, and shared heritage.
