April 21, 2026 (Tuesday), 5:00 p.m. ???? Koszalin Public Library, Polonii Square, Koszalin Is cycling just a sport, or perhaps a way of life and a means of discovering the world? During the next meeting in our series, we will look at cycling from two perspectives: a local passion that builds community in Western Pomerania, and professional training on European routes. This time, our guests will be representatives of two thriving clubs that drive the cycling scene in our region. Guests of the meeting: Frajda na Rowerze and the Ziemia Kołobrzeska Cycling Club These are teams that know everything there is to know about two wheels. On a daily basis, they not only organize prestigious races but, above all, train the younger generation of cyclists. Their passion spans from the roads of West Pomerania to the most demanding climbs in Europe. During the event, our guests will discuss: • The development of cycling in the region: What does work in cycling academies look like, and how do you foster a passion for the sport in children and young people? • Behind the scenes of race organization: What happens “behind the finish line,” and how do you prepare a local sporting event that will draw crowds? • Inspiration from Europe: We’ll take you on a journey to Cyprus and Gran Canaria. You’ll learn why these islands are a mecca for cyclists, what the training routes there look like, and how to apply these experiences to our local terrain. What will you learn at the meeting? • How to start your adventure with road cycling? • Where to find the best training routes in Western Pomerania and across Europe? • What does systematic youth training look like, and why is it worth supporting local clubs? • How to combine a passion for travel with professional cycling training?
