Blue Power Run - Community Run

The Blue Power Run Inclusion Run is an event aimed at people on the autism spectrum, their families, and friends. It will take place on May 9 at the Arkonka swimming area in Szczecin. The run is organized annually; its main goals are to promote physical activity, prevent exclusion, break down barriers and stereotypes, and, above all, foster social integration—through direct contact and personal experiences shared by participants during the joint running event, as well as building relationships in a friendly atmosphere and a safe environment. Conditions will be adapted to the needs and limitations of people on the spectrum, and there will also be a quiet zone. Experienced specialists and therapists will ensure the comfort of participants with special needs. WOPR paramedics will ensure the safety of all participants. We encourage everyone interested to participate in the event; we guarantee a great atmosphere and plenty of positive energy. In our Run, the most important thing is participation and reaching the finish line; competition and results do not matter. Every participant will receive a medal at the finish line. Registration for the Run is required—there are 150 spots available and the same number of attractive starter kits for participants. Planned distances: 200m, 400m, 600m, 800m, and approx. 1700m (one lap around Arkonka), depending on the participants’ age, ability level, and physical condition. Registration is open through May 5. Participation in the event is free. The Blue Power Run is organized as part of the Social Activist Program initiated by the Marshal of the West Pomeranian Province. The event organizers are: the Pełnoprawni MY Foundation in cooperation with the Sense Association for Children with Autism. The main partner is the National Autism Society, Szczecin Branch. The Szczecin Branch of the Animal Care Society and local companies are also participating in the organization. Volunteers will assist in setting up the event and throughout its duration. After the run, there will be games, activities, and entertainment for children—supervised by therapists and volunteers. And at the end of the event, there will be a group cleanup of the forest.
