56th Wind Band Festival in Sławno

On May 24, 2026, we invite residents and visitors to a unique musical event—the 56th Wind Orchestra Festival in Sławno. The Sławno Wind Orchestra Festival is the oldest wind orchestra festival in Poland, with a history dating back to June 10, 1969. Over the years, the event has gained international recognition and is now one of the largest cultural events in the northern part of the country. The festival is held annually and is organized jointly by the Sławno City Hall, the Sławno Cultural Center, and the Sławno Region Wind Orchestra. It brings together ensembles from various regions of Poland and abroad, which showcase their skills during spectacular street parades and stage concerts at the city amphitheater. The main goal of the event is to popularize brass band music, promote the artistic achievements of the ensembles, and foster integration between the music community and the local population. The festival also plays a significant role in promoting the city and the region, supports the development of musical culture, and creates a space for the exchange of experiences between orchestras and young musicians. At the same time, it offers an attractive way for residents and tourists to spend their time, highlighting local traditions and strengthening the region’s cultural identity. The upcoming 56th edition of the Festival will be of a special nature. In 2026, the Sławnia Region Brass Band will celebrate its 60th anniversary. This is a unique opportunity to honor its artistic achievements and showcase the region’s rich musical traditions. The event program includes, among other things, the festival’s grand opening combined with a parade of bands, a march of participants to the amphitheater, brass band concerts, a community festival, a food court, and attractions for children. The project was made possible thanks to the support of the West Pomeranian Province. The event is organized by the Sławno City Hall, the Sławno Region Brass Band, and the Sławno Cultural Center.
