Do you have something to say? Do you feel that the world around you could be different?
We invite young people (ages 14 and up) and adults to a unique music workshop, during which we will create original protest songs together—full of emotion, rhythm, and meaning.
This is a space for everyone who wants to speak, create, and be heard.
You don’t need any experience—all you need is an open mind and a willingness to take action.
Come. Listen. Have your say.
During the workshop:
1. We’ll talk about what matters:
We’ll start with an open conversation about tolerance, democracy, and human rights. About what we oppose.
2. We’ll create our own protest songs:
Divided into teams, we’ll go through the creative process—theme, message, and narrative; lyrics and rhythm: rhymes, flow, verse and chorus structure; expression: working with voice, emotions, and interpretation. As we create our songs, we’ll draw inspiration from hip-hop, electronic music, reggae, and dub—using contemporary, energetic sounds that best convey the power of our message and emotions.
3. Presentation of the finished Protest Songs:
Each group will present their song set to a selected backing track. No grades, just mindfulness and the energy of working together.
The goal of the TEATR POLSKA program is to facilitate access to the most outstanding Polish theater productions for residents of towns lacking a public theater. Its mission is to popularize the art of theater and eliminate economic barriers to theater access, especially in towns located far from major cultural centers.
Teatr Polska is a program of the Zbigniew Raszewski Theater Institute. Co-financed by the Minister of Culture and National Heritage.
