J. Strauss, "Die Fledermaus" (The Bat) – a student production

We cordially invite you to performances of Johann Strauss’s operetta *Die Fledermaus*, produced by students and graduates of the Department of Vocal and Acting Arts in collaboration with students from the Department of Graphic Arts, the Department of Instrumental Music, the Department of Set Design and Lighting Design at the Academy of Art in Szczecin, and the Department of Instrumental and Pedagogical Arts, Music Education and Vocal Studies at the Fryderyk Chopin University of Music – Białystok Branch. Johann Strauss’s “Die Fledermaus” is a gem of world operetta and one of the most popular works of the genre, consistently performed on musical theater stages around the world. The production is part of the celebrations marking the 200th anniversary of the birth of Johann Strauss—one of the most outstanding creators of operetta and the undisputed master of Viennese operetta music. The performances will take place on June 14, 2026, at the Opera at the Castle in Szczecin: • 3:00 p.m. – preview performance • 7:00 p.m. – premiere performance Tickets will be available in the foyer of the Opera at the Castle one hour before the start of the performances.
