WCK CONCERT: Voo Voo "Dźwięczność"

Its character is defined by the coming together of distinctive personalities and outstanding musicians: Wojciech Waglewski—a guitar virtuoso open to both new and traditional sounds; Mateusz Pospieszalski—a saxophonist, multi-instrumentalist, and showman, a true volcano of energy on stage; Karim Martusewicz—a classically trained bassist and composer; and Michał Bryndal—a drummer with a background in free jazz. The band has collaborated with world-class artists, including Don Cherry, Andy Sheppard, Esperanza Spalding, and Alim Qasimov, and in Poland with Tomasz Stańko, Urszula Dudziak, and Leszek Możdżer, among others. In 2025, the album “Wojciech Waglewski MTV Unplugged” was released, which also inspired a concert film; following this, the band embarked on a highly acclaimed tour of Poland’s premier concert venues. Their latest album, “Dźwięczność” (2026), is an open-ended work, full of space and collaborations featuring, among others, Daria from Silesia, Samitra Suwannarit, and Antar Jackson, and it has been met with an excellent reception from both fans and critics. Voo Voo is a band that never stands still, and that is precisely why it still sounds so fresh. “Dźwięczność” is, above all, a very personal, nine-song diary by Wojciech Waglewski from recent times (when God seemed not quite as close as usual).
