Edyta Geppert

Edyta Geppert is known for the great care she takes in building her repertoire. Her meticulously staged recitals offer a rare opportunity to hear true gems of Polish literary song. Among the lyricists are Magda Czapińska, Agnieszka Osiecka, Jacek Cygan, Marek Dagnan, Jerzy Ficowski, Jonasz Kofta, Wojciech Młynarski, Andrzej Poniedzielski, and Jan Kazimierz Siwek; among the composers are Henryk Alber, Włodzimierz Korcz, Seweryna Krajewski, and Andrzej Rybiński. Edyta Geppert’s recital showcases her interpretive artistry and extraordinary ability to create sharply contrasting moods: lyrical songs are juxtaposed with dramatic ones, and dramatic ones with humorous—even cabaret-style—songs, the latter featuring lyrics by a classic of the genre—Marian Hemar. Finally, this is a unique opportunity to experience the emotions that only a select few artists, endowed with true charisma, can convey to an audience.
