Jazz in Western Pomerania

We invite you to the first concert in the "Jazz in Western Pomerania" series. Until the end of summer vacation, residents and tourists visiting Western Pomerania will have a unique opportunity to see Polish and international jazz stars. Seven exceptional concerts are scheduled as part of the “Jazz in Western Pomerania” series. The events will combine world-class music with the chance to discover the region’s most beautiful spots. Admission to all concerts is free. “Jazz in Western Pomerania” is an initiative of Marshal Olgierd Geblewicz, and this year’s edition focuses on promoting jazz music throughout the province. The concerts will take place in unique locations—from picturesque lake districts to historic towns and seaside marinas. The next concert will take place against the picturesque backdrop of the marina in Kamień Pomorski. Performing for you will be: Azyl_Trio, the Radek Wośko Quintet featuring Karolina Śmietana as a guest artist, and Anna Nowik & Swing Lovers. ????Azyl_Trio We are Azyl_Trio—a band of young musicians from Szczecin. Although our roots lie in nu-jazz, we don’t like to be pigeonholed. By combining jazz with electronic music and live improvisation, we’re constantly searching for our own unique sound and space for pure expression. Above all, however, we thrive on the energy of live performances—we love to experiment, play with soundscapes, and live in the moment. Our mission is to create music that is sincere, lively, and unpredictable—music that will bring a breath of fresh air and a unique vibe to the local scene. ????Radek Wośko Quintet feat. Karolina Śmietana The Radek Wośko Quintet presents modern vocal-instrumental jazz, combining original compositions with pieces from the jazz canon. Scandinavian melancholy and Slavic energy, refined by the jazz tradition, create an intriguing and exciting blend. The musicians explore the borderlands of art that is intellectually ambitious yet at the same time deeply spiritual and accessible to listeners. All of this is done to truly move the audience. ????Anna Nowik & Swing Lovers A concert program aimed at those who are just beginning their journey into jazz music. The program features the greatest hits of swing and traditional jazz by artists such as Louis Armstrong and Ella Fitzgerald. The concert will be performed by musicians who specialize in this genre on a daily basis. The band is led by singer, trombonist, and trumpeter Anna Nowik.
