Visegrad Wound Conference 2026 - Development of Innovative Polymers for Wound Healing and Other Biomedical Applications

The Visegrad Wound Conference 2026 – Development of Innovative Polymers for Wound Healing and Other Biomedical Applications is an international scientific conference organized as part of the Visegrad+ project “Development of Innovative Polymers for Wound Healing and Other Biomedical Applications,” which aims to bring together the scientific and medical communities and facilitate the exchange of knowledge on modern materials and technologies used in wound treatment and other biomedical applications. The conference will take place on September 2–4, 2026, in Szczecin and is jointly organized by the West Pomeranian University of Technology in Szczecin and the Pomeranian Medical University in Szczecin. The event is an important element of cooperation among project partners from the Visegrad Group countries and Ukraine, supporting the development of research, the exchange of experiences, and the building of international scientific partnerships. The conference program includes lectures by invited experts, oral presentations, a poster session, and visits to research laboratories. The event’s topics focus on innovative polymers and biomaterials for wound treatment, hydrogels, nanomaterials, controlled-release systems for active substances, materials with antimicrobial properties, tissue engineering, and regenerative medicine. Special attention will be given to solutions that enable more effective treatment of chronic wounds and accelerate the translation of research findings into clinical practice. The conference is aimed at scientists, physicians, pharmacists, engineers, doctoral students, and industry representatives interested in the development of modern biomedical materials and medical technologies. The event will provide a platform for presenting the latest scientific achievements, establishing international collaborations, and discussing future directions in the development of biomaterials and modern wound treatment methods.
