• Address: 72-500 Międzyzdroje

The history of the pier in Międzyzdroje dates back to 1885. At that time, it was a small wooden pier. It was expanded in 1906; the wooden structure was 300 meters long (or, according to other sources, 370 meters). During World War I, it was blown up by sappers, and in 1920 it was rebuilt to a length of 200 meters.

Repeatedly damaged by storms and adverse weather conditions, it was closed in the second half of the 1980s, and the pier was dismantled. In 1994, construction of a new pier began, taking place in two phases and finally completed in 2004.

Currently, the pier in Międzyzdroje is 395 meters long and is one of the longest in Europe. It is a reinforced concrete structure and serves as a seaport for tourist ships that depart from here for Świnoujście and the German coastal towns of Ahlbeck and Heringsdorf.
