Forever Young

“Forever young… I want to be forever young”—so goes the chorus of “Forever Young,” the huge 1980s hit by Alphaville. And that’s precisely one way to stay young: to immerse yourself in the world of music from the time when today’s mature listeners were just teenagers. It’s a world of hit songs by singing actors—from Frank Sinatra, born a century ago, to Justin Timberlake, a contemporary of today’s forty-somethings. Those wild years were a time of meteoric careers for Elton John, George Michael, and Ricky Martin—songs by all of them will be performed during this extraordinary evening. All right, but what about the peers of the Just 5 group? We have a suggestion for them, too—let them come to the concert and sing along with our performers to “I’ll Follow You Like to a Ball” or “Darling, I’m Dancing in the Dark, Listening to Our Favorite Song” from the repertoires of Ed Sheeran and Andrea Bocelli… Forty performers will take the stage: soloists, a symphony orchestra, and a ballet company. The concert lasts 2 hours and 15 minutes, including an intermission.
