The Karkonosze Mountains Through the Eyes of Hubert Litwinionek

For him, the Karkonosze are more than just mountains. They are a place full of history, mysteries, extraordinary landscapes, and inspiration. Join us for a meeting with Hubert Litwinionek—a Szczecin native who is passionate about mountains, nature photography, local history, and historical sites, and the author of the books *The Shadow of the Mountain Spirit* and *The Whisper of the Mountain Spirit*. His adventure with the mountains began when he was just a child. He’s been exploring the Tatra Mountains since he was four years old, and since 2000, he’s been discovering the Karkonosze Mountains, even in winter. Over time, his passion for the mountains merged with photography and a love of history, and his experiences and fascinations became the inspiration for creating his own story. During the meeting, we’ll talk about the Karkonosze Mountains, their history and mysteries, photography, literature, and how a passion can turn into a book. It will also be an opportunity to discuss the novel *The Whisper of the Mountain Spirit*. If the second part is published as planned before the meeting, the event will also serve as its premiere presentation. The event will be hosted by Mariusz Gładzik—a writer with ties to the Izera Mountains and the author of, among other works, *The Scent of Gunpowder and Lavender* and *Echoes of the Afterlife*.
