Big Stones, Big Stories. Megaliths Right Next to Us—that’s the title of October’s “Meeting at the Tenement House by the Market Square.” The lecture will be led by Dr. Agnieszka Matuszewska—an archaeologist who has been conducting research at the University of Szczecin since 2009. Her research interests focus, among other things, on the Neolithic and Early Bronze Ages, the phenomenon of megalithism in Europe, and Early Neolithic ceremonial structures. She publishes and participates in projects and grants. Among other things, she led research related to the project to reconstruct megalithic tombs in Dolice. On behalf of the University of Szczecin, she serves as the academic advisor for a project related to the construction of an archaeological open-air museum in Dolice. And it is precisely this early and local history, connected with Dolice, that will be the main topic of our latest meeting, to which we cordially invite you.
