“Raising Awareness Among Children and Youth About the Needs of People with Disabilities.” During the sessions, students learn about the daily challenges faced by people with various disabilities in an accessible and engaging way. The workshops also have a practical component—children and youth can, among other things, experience what it’s like to move around in a wheelchair, use a white cane, or function with visual impairments thanks to special simulation glasses and many other assistive devices. The goal of the project is to foster empathy, understanding, and openness toward people with disabilities, and to show that every person deserves respect, acceptance, and equal treatment. Through workshops, games, and discussions, we help children and teenagers understand what empathy, acceptance, and support mean. Because a better world begins with compassionate hearts! The workshops are led by members of the “I’m Moving Forward” Foundation, who support people with disabilities and their families on a daily basis.
