The cathedral rectory was built between 1760 and 1770. Together with the cathedral, the bishop’s palace, the canons’ quarters, the sacristan’s house, the dean’s residence, and the school, it formed part of the former cathedral complex. It is a two-story half-timbered house designed on a rectangular plan. The building is topped with a ceramic hipped roof. At the turn of the 18th and 19th centuries, a farm building was added in the same style. In 1985, a plaque was added to the rectory’s façade commemorating the art historian and musicologist Prof. Gwido-Chmarzyński, who was a frequent guest at this house. Currently, the house is home to a congregation of nuns, so it can only be viewed from the outside.
