Independence Monument

The monument has the form of a rectangular block. It is topped with a bronze ball with the coat of arms of Poland. Its front is adorned with the inscription: "Independence Monument in tribute to the people who fought for freedom and independence of the Republic of Poland, Goleniów on 11.11.1992". Every year, at the Monument of Independence, ceremonial celebrations are held to commemorate not only the regaining of independence, but also the adoption of the Constitution of May 3 or the outbreak of war. Honorary guard is provided, and all organizations wishing to celebrate the events, lay wreaths at the Monument and pay their respects.
