The Joachim Lelewel Koszalin Public Library is a local government cultural institution operating in Koszalin since 1947. We are the largest public library in Central Pomerania. We serve our users through 10 branches located in Koszalin and the Main Library located at Plac Polonii 1. Our activities are focused primarily on the promotion of reading and the dissemination of knowledge and information on culture and science. We offer our users services in the field of lending and providing access to scientific, popular science, didactic and fiction book collections. We have an extensive collection of current and archival periodicals, documents from the social life of Koszalin and the region, audio books, cassette tapes and records. Readers can use free access to the Internet. Our cultural and educational offer is aimed at recipients of cultural goods of all ages. We organize a whole range of author meetings, book promotions, competitions, happenings, concerts, festivals, lectures, talks, conferences, workshops and courses. We undertake cooperation with other cultural and educational institutions, societies and associations that want to be partners in providing access to contemporary intellectual output. Reading families, travel enthusiasts, folk artists have their place here.
