The monument to the Heroes of the Soviet Army is located at the largest Soviet military cemetery of the Zachodniopomorskie [West Pomerania] Province in Gryfino. Its author is Sławomir Lewiński. It depicts the flags of victory interlaced with each other. On one side of the monument, there are reliefs depicting a woman and an old man. They are greeting the soldiers - the woman is holding bread, and the man - a shield with an eagle. The other side depicts battle scenes. In front of the monument, there is a commemorative plaque with a red star and the coat of arms of Gryfino with the following text: 'To the heroes of the Soviet Army who died in 1945 in the battle for the liberation of Gryfino from the Nazi yoke - the citizens of Gryfino Land'. A total of 7134 rest in the military cemetery. Near the monument, there are boards on which a few names and photographs of soldiers buried there were placed.
