The von Kleist Palace was built in 1874 on the foundations of an 18th-century manor house. Constructed of red brick, it features very interesting architecture, with numerous cornices, decorative arcades, and ornate details on the windows, doors, and roof. It was built in an eclectic style. Viewed from the front, the building features two soaring towers. An 8-hectare park surrounds the palace. The palace’s manor park is listed as a historic monument. The palace was built on the foundations of an older, 18th-century manor house. In later years, it served, among other things, as a school and a prison, and during the palace’s heyday, it housed a library. It is currently in a state of ruin.
